“Through abstracted, nature-based paintings, I try to depict my understanding of how the whole is reflected in the structure of the part. An example of this is how seeds and leaves contain a map for trees. I layer paint and ink using printed textures to describe the process of nature. This process of change and transformation is supported by inking up found natural objects and recycled materials.”
